Karen Carlson, Director of Education and Creative Programs

As the Education Program Development Manager for the InCharge Education Foundation, Carlson's role includes developing and distributing financial literacy education to clients, consumers and students.  Carlson also oversees the foundation's primary outreach tool to the military community, Military Money, a comprehensive online portal that addresses the unique financial issues faced by active duty military, their families and veterans.

Prior to her work at InCharge, Carlson served as Vice President of Tapestry International Productions, an educational multimedia agency.  Carlson is an Emmy-winning television producer and has served as writer, producer and executive producer on numerous nationally airing television series for The Discovery Channel, TLC and Discovery HD, online multimedia for Barnes&Noble.com and WebMD and e-learning materials for Pearson, Scott Foresman and United Streaming.com.

Carlson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University and is an MFA candidate and Provost Fellowship recipient in Digital Media and Educational Technology from the University of Central Florida.
