High School Financial Planning Program
InCharge® Education Foundation designed and developed an online resource to complement the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE) High School Financial Planning Program® (HSFPP).
The Web portal, called NEFE High School Campus, includes a variety of financial planning educational resources for high school students and teachers. InCharge Education Foundation funded development of the High School Campus program.
For students, this program teaches money and business in a way that is fun and easy to understand. For teachers, it provides classroom activities that will help further learning opportunities about personal finance.
The HSFPP so far has provided more than 3.3 million students with basic personal finance education. The curriculum, provided as a public service, teaches students to set financial goals, use credit wisely, develop a spending plan, save and invest efficiently, make positive career choices, and protect their assets against risk as they begin to build net worth. Teaching materials include a 128-page guide for every student and a comprehensive instructor's manual.
The Foundation's mission is to educate the public about personal finance, and educating young people is a vital part of that mission. NEFE is a leader in its field of expertise, and HSFPP is one of the strongest curricula available for young people. We are proud to have the opportunity to make it even more effective by contributing the addition of an e-learning component.
NEFE is an independent, non-profit foundation dedicated to helping all Americans achieve financial well-being. For more information about the NEFE High School Campus or the NEFE High School Financial Planning Program, log on to the Education Programs section at http://www.nefe.org/.
