Credit Counseling Agency Announces Support of America Saves Program

Orlando, FL, August 21, 2003 - Today, InCharge Institute of America, a non-profit personal finance education and credit counseling organization, announced their membership on the "America Saves National Advisory Committee".

America Saves is a nationwide campaign, spearheaded by the Consumer Federation of America Foundation, in which a broad coalition of nonprofit, corporate, and government groups help individuals and families save and build wealth. Through information, advice, and encouragement, America Saves assists those who wish to pay down debt, build an emergency fund, save for a home, save for an education, or save for retirement.

InCharge Institute joins such notable organizations as the Federal Reserve Board, the Comptroller of the Currency, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, AARP, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and the American Savings and Education Council as a member of the America Saves Advisory Committee.

Through this membership, InCharge Institute also participates in the Forum to Promote Lower Income Household Savings, along with other nonprofit, corporate and government leaders. The Forum, also managed by the Consumer Federation of America, meets three times a year to discuss recent research, innovative programs, and promising public policies that are related to the promotion of low- and moderate-income household saving and wealth-building.

"As a key part of our mission, InCharge Institute is committed to providing much-needed education in consumer finance and debt management issues. Parallel to the beliefs of the Consumer Federation of America, we believe financial education is critical for those who have traditionally been underserved in the marketplace," said Robert Barrett, president and chief executive officer of InCharge Institute.
