"Financial Behaviors of Consumers in Credit Counseling" Accepted for Publication
November 9, 2004 - Financial Behaviors of Consumers in Credit Counseling, authored by Jing Jian Xiao, Ph.D. (University of Rhode Island), Benoit Sorhaindo (InCharge® Education Foundation, Inc.) and Thomas Garman, Ph.D. (Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech) has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Consumer Studies. The analysis found that for consumers who use credit counseling services, their exercise of positive financial behaviors and their reporting of a higher self-evaluation score were associated with reduced financial stress and increased financial satisfaction.
