U.S. Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research and Extension Service

Congress created CSREES in 1994 by combining the Cooperative State Research Service and the Extension Service into a single agency, uniting the research, education and resources of both agencies. The USDA agency provides federal leadership in creating and disseminating knowledge spanning the biological, physical and social sciences related to agricultural research, economic analysis, statistics, extension and higher education.

InCharge worked closely with CREES and the National 4-H Cooperative Curriculum System, a collaborative effort of 4-H youth development programs at land-grant universities in 41 states, to develop Financial Champions Academy and Consumer Savvy, personal finance education programs that educate thousands of elementary, middle and high school students each year.
