The Department of Defense believes the financial well-being of military members and their families is critical to their quality of life and is equally critical to the personal readiness required to execute the military mission. With this in mind, the DoD has implemented its Financial Readiness Campaign, designed to deliver the message that financial well-being and personal readiness start with controlling expenses, using credit responsibly and setting aside money for future goals.
Through a memorandum of understanding with the DoD, InCharge created MILITARY MONEY® magazine to reach this underserved market, particularly young service members and spouses who often manage the family finances. It reaches an estimated 500,000 readers each quarter through distribution at most U.S. military bases. Additionally, "MILITARY MONEY Minute" radio segments are heard around the world on American Forces Radio Network.
